The Program Specialist for the Eastern Region, Shania Irby supports the work of the School-Age Technical Assistance Resource Center (SATARC). She assists in implementing the scope of work required by the SATARC contract, which includes providing technical assistance (TA), professional development, and ongoing support to OCFS-funded afterschool and out-of-school-time programs across New York State.

Shania also supports the NYS School-Age Care (SAC) Credential infrastructure, including oversight of the day-to-day work of the credential, and supporting host agencies, instructors, advisors, and endorsers to ensure quality.

Shania joins Network for Youth Success as a New York State Certified B-6 educator with seven years of teaching experience and many more in varied childcare spaces. She brings two years of experience in varied leadership roles within NAACP Troy Branch, and is currently a board member for Oakwood Community Center in Troy, NY.
